Prugh Home

Paradise Valley, Arizona

Private Residence

Positioned on an expansive acre in Paradise Valley, the Prugh Home establishes a seamless conversation between architectural form and native Sonoran flora. The residence is organized as two parallel pavilions connected by a glass-encased gallery bridge.

Design Philosophy

The architecture responds directly to the harsh desert sun with deep overhangs that cast geometric shadows across honed travertine terraces. Passive cooling channels guide mountain breezes through the open pavilion living spaces.

Materiality & Craft

Custom board-formed concrete walls blend with local desert stone and wire-brushed oak cabinetry, providing tactile warmth against crisp black steel details.
