    The Marotta Home, a Cavecreek home deeply woven into the Sonoran Desert landscape by geometry, materials and colors. Large glass aperture’s capture views and connect the home to the desert's natural rhythm of sun exposure, weather patterns and seasonal changes. The cantilevered roof overhangs protect the home from the often brutal Sonoran sun while covering large outdoor livable areas. SOLAR: Solar panels will largely power this home. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Finished exterior materials and colors were carefully chosen to integrate the home into its natural setting.
