    The Prugh Home is a 5,000-square-foot modern custom residence located in Carefree, Arizona, thoughtfully designed by Eric Spry of Spry Architecture. This contemporary desert home is woven seamlessly into the raw Sonoran landscape, positioned to maximize unobstructed panoramic views of Black Mountain. Built with a deep respect for site and climate, the home embraces natural light, rugged beauty, and indoor–outdoor living — all while offering elegant spaces for entertaining and quiet desert retreat.

  • Modern Design Rooted in the Sonoran Desert

    This modern desert home features a layout centered around a generous great room, perfect for entertaining, with expansive glass walls that open to the outdoor living areas. The home's orientation and transparent design ensure breathtaking views of Black Mountain from nearly every major space. To manage desert heat and optimize energy performance, the design includes deep cantilevered roof overhangs that shield the extensive glazing. The energy-efficient window systems ensure comfort without sacrificing the connection to the outdoors.
