  • About this Project

The Marotta Home is a refined example of desert modern architecture, thoughtfully designed by Spry Architecture and located in Cave Creek, Arizona. At 3,500 square feet with a 3-car garage, the home is deeply rooted in its Sonoran Desert setting through expressive geometry, solar-conscious design, and a carefully curated material palette.

  • Desert Integration Through Design

With large floor-to-ceiling glass openings, the home captures expansive desert views and connects seamlessly to nature’s rhythms — from shifting sun angles to seasonal weather changes. A cantilevered roof with deep overhangs shelters the home from the intense Arizona sun, while also framing spacious outdoor living areas.

  • Sustainable, Site-Specific Architecture

The Marotta Home exemplifies how modern architecture can harmonize with nature — not just visually, but environmentally and spiritually. It’s a forward-thinking desert retreat where every line, finish, and orientation responds to the land itself.
