  • Family Centered

The Kopparapu Home is a 4,170-square-foot modern custom residence located atop a scenic ridge in the Scottsdale Mountain community. Designed by Eric Spry of Spry Architecture, this home takes full advantage of its rare 360-degree views, offering unobstructed vistas of both surrounding mountain ranges and the glittering city lights of Scottsdale and Phoenix. Crafted for a growing family of four (plus their canine companion), this residence blends architectural precision with warmth, openness, and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor living.

  • Architecture That Lives With the Land

The home’s orientation and floor plan are carefully shaped by the topography and views. Deep roof overhangs shade extensive glazing from the harsh desert sun, while framing panoramic scenes in nearly every direction. Nearly one-third of the livable square footage is devoted to covered outdoor living, allowing the family to fully enjoy the desert environment year-round. The home’s design balances private retreats with shared gathering spaces — both indoors and out.

  • Family Meets Modern

The layout is tailored for flexible, functional living. The children’s bedrooms connect to a shared game room, which opens directly to a private outdoor courtyard — a perfect space for play and exploration. The heart of the home is the great room, where sliding glass doors extend the living area into an outdoor lounge and pool zone, blurring boundaries between house and horizon. The primary suite is strategically positioned to face both mountain and city views, with direct access to the surrounding outdoor living and pool area, creating a peaceful desert retreat for the homeowners.

  • A Contemporary Family Retreat Above Scottsdale

The Kopparapu Home is a refined expression of Spry Architecture’s philosophy: that modern architecture should be both deeply responsive to its environment and highly attuned to the rhythms of family life. With layered spaces, expansive views, and a seamless blend of comfort, function, and architectural clarity, this hillside home stands as a model of modern desert living in Scottsdale, Arizona.
